Position Summary Details
We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator with advanced knowledge of Microsoft enterprise licensing to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our Microsoft enterprise environments, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, and implementing best practices for system security and efficiency.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Manage Microsoft Enterprise Licensing: Oversee and ensure compliance with Microsoft enterprise licensing agreements, including Enterprise Agreements (EA), Microsoft Products and Services Agreement (MPSA), and other volume licensing programs.
- System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and related infrastructure. Ensure systems are secure, reliable, and optimized for performance.
- User Management: Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Microsoft environments, including Azure AD, Office 365, and other Microsoft services.
- Security Management: Implement and manage security measures, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Conditional Access policies, and Information Protection.
- Monitoring and Maintenance: Perform regular system health checks, monitor system performance, and troubleshoot issues. Ensure timely updates and patches are applied.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, licensing compliance, and security protocols.
- Support and Training: Provide tier 2 and 3 support for complex issues, and conduct training sessions for IT staff and end-users on best practices and new features.
- Advanced experience with ITIL Service Management software similar to Remedy, Cherwell or Atlassian Suite.
- Performs advanced Account Administration in Active Directory and Okta while implementing best practice processes and procedures.
- Provides audit deliverables for annual audits to include Security, Accounts, Okta, etc.; required to meet industry healthcare audit standards-- HIPAA, SOC2 or HiTrust audit standards.
- Leads detailed design phases for small to medium projects identifying, tracking and resolving technical issues.
- Responsible for maintaining all local hardware in Franklin to include Flexential, corporate site and all remote user hardware needs.
- Maintain inventory of installed software, manage software licensing and create policies and procedures for upgrades.
- Work with hardware and software vendors to verify timely product delivery and ensure that new equipment is installed and ready to operate on schedule.
- Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including associated validation systems, file servers, email servers, computer conferencing systems, application servers and administrative systems
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in system administration with a focus on Microsoft enterprise environments.
- Certifications: Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate, or equivalent certifications.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in PowerShell scripting, Azure AD, hybrid identity management, and zero-trust principles. Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 security features and best practices.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Windows Autopilot Deployment: Design, implement, and manage Windows Autopilot profiles for new device deployments. Ensure devices are configured according to company standards and policies.
- Managed and optimized AWS cloud infrastructure: Leveraged extensive experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda to design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud solutions. Successfully reduced operational costs and improved system performance through effective resource management and automation
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Additional Certifications: Additional Microsoft certifications (e.g., Teams Administrator, Azure Security Engineer).
- Experience: Experience working in a Managed Service Provider environment and with hybrid cloud environments.
Working Environment And Travel Requirements
- Work is typically in a normal office administrative environment involving minimal exposure to physical risks.
- Position requires little to moderate physical activity. Mostly sedentary work exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. No significant stooping is usually required.
