Role Overview
Reporting to the COO, the Head of Technology leads and coordinates both the Technology Project Management and Implementation functions needed to sustain overall service delivery and IT support services, assuming end-to-end responsibility for successful technical installation and integration, commissioning, and user acceptance testing. The Head of Technology will support various full-service commercial real estate business lines while regularly interfacing with executive-level leadership. Technology innovation projects will include client-interfacing solutions, internal productivity solutions, ground-up initiatives, and various data projects. A strong track record of developing AI tools to create efficiencies will be a significant differentiator for candidates.

- Manage Existing Technology including our current high-potential team of professionals.
- Drive IT Projects using internal and external resources.

Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership
- Serve as a trusted technology partner, building and maintaining direct, cross-functional relationships with business line leaders across our full-service real estate company.
- Proactively partner with the business leaders to shape and execute technology roadmaps that drive measurable value and align with business objectives.

Hands-On Solution Architecture
- Be comfortable rolling up your sleeves - actively engaging in brainstorming, prototyping, and hands-on solution design across the organization.
- Provide technical leadership and direction across a modern application stack including Salesforce, ERP workflows, custom application development (React/Next.js), and enterprise data pipelines.
- Balance long-term strategic vision with tactical execution, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
Salesforce-Centric Architecture
- Lead the continued development and optimization of Salesforce, which serves a dual role, as both our CRM and core back-office (ERP-like) platform.
- Ensure Salesforce architecture supports seamless cross-functional workflows and reporting needs.
- Lead configuration, integration, automation, and process alignment across other systems such as SharePoint, Yardi, Sage, and our data warehouse.
Enterprise Data Warehouse Stewardship
- Ensure high-quality, trusted data of our Snowflake-based data warehouse which is foundational to business operations.
- Own data architecture, ETL pipeline design, and governance while ensuring data accuracy and usability for analytics and reporting.
- Collaborate closely with data science and analytics teams, essential for driving insight and innovation.
AI & Analytics Implementation
- Develop and deploy AI solutions as a strategic priority to create meaningful business value.
- Drive practical use cases that enhance operations and decision-making while ensuring responsible implementation.
Technical Environment
- Languages & Frameworks: Python, SQL, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js
- Systems: Salesforce, Snowflake, relational and non-relational databases
- Integration Platforms: SharePoint, Yardi, Sage Intacct, third-party SaaS APIs
- Strong emphasis on observability, data governance, and well-documented system architecture
Budget & Vendor Management
- Manage third-party and offshore vendors while being accountable for technology budgets and cost efficiency.
- A key success factor will be designing systems and workflows that support a lean internal team while strategically leveraging external capacity.
Team Development & Mentorship
- Lead and support an ambitious team with strong growth potential across development, data, and systems.
- Invest in skill development, define clear role progression paths, and foster the creation of multidisciplinary talent.
- Hardware/Software team management provides day-to-day traditional IT support as part of our internal Shared Services platform.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- 7+ years software and data experience, including:
- 4+ years of experience in software design, development, and implementation in a leadership capacity
- 4+ years of project and program management experience.
- Experience in developing AI Solutions, Salesforce (2 yrs experience), and Cybersecurity practices.
- Proficiency in modern software development platforms and tools including Snowflake, Python, SQL, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to mentor teams, manage conflict, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven stakeholder management skills with a track record of aligning technical initiatives to business goals.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Customer-focused mindset and strong work ethic, with a commitment to delivering impactful, business-aligned technology solutions.
