We’re looking for a Senior EDI Analyst to lead and expand our electronic data interchange (EDI) initiatives, ensuring seamless digital connectivity across our supply chain and retail partner ecosystem.
Position Summary
The Senior EDI Analyst will serve as the EDI subject matter expert (SME), responsible for the design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support of all EDI transactions and integrations. This role requires extensive experience with Infor M3 ERP, SPS Commerce, and CommerceHub, and will provide technical and strategic leadership on EDI operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with business units, customers, and technology teams to ensure scalable, compliant, and high-performance EDI workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain EDI integrations between Infor M3 ERP and external trading partners using SPS Commerce and CommerceHub.
- Manage the full lifecycle of EDI transactions including 850 (Purchase Order), 856 (ASN), 810 (Invoice), 846 (Inventory), 940/945 (Warehouse Ship/Confirm), and 855 (PO Acknowledgment).
- Lead EDI projects involving new partner onboarding, mapping changes, system upgrades, and process improvements.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex EDI transaction issues, including failed transmissions and data mismatches.
- Serve as primary liaison between IT, business stakeholders, trading partners, and EDI service providers.
- Develop and maintain documentation including EDI process flows, data maps, partner specifications, and support procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and retailer-specific requirements (X12, EDIFACT, GS1).
- Proactively identify areas for automation, efficiency gains, and data quality improvement.
- Mentor and guide junior EDI analysts and provide technical leadership in cross-functional initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience managing EDI operations in a manufacturing, distribution, or retail environment.
- Expert-level knowledge of Infor M3 ERP EDI integration points and business process flows.
- Proven experience with SPS Commerce and CommerceHub platforms.
- Deep understanding of EDI standards, including ANSI X12 messages (850, 856, 810, 846, 940, 945, 855).
- Strong ability to interpret raw EDI files and troubleshoot transmission, mapping, and translation errors.
- Solid understanding of Order-to-Cash, Inventory, and Logistics processes.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent EDI projects and prioritize based on business impact.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with national retailers, eCommerce platforms, and 3PL providers.
- Familiarity with API/web services integration in addition to traditional EDI.
- Experience with EDI mapping tools such as IBM Sterling Gentran, AltovaMapForce, or similar.
- Previous leadership or mentoring experience in EDI or IT integration teams.
- Knowledge of compliance and security best practices related to B2B integrations.
