Join a thriving international building materials company with a strong, long-standing presence in the U.S. We are seeking an IT Systems Specialist to support and optimize our growing IT infrastructure. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work both locally and as part of a broader global IT team supporting operations in the U.S., UK, and Ireland.
Position Overview:
The IT Systems Specialist will deliver first- and second-line technical support to end users, resolve hardware and software issues, and play a key role in supporting and administering Microsoft Dynamics 365 and other core systems. This individual will also contribute to broader system administration efforts and ensure IT operations remain secure, efficient, and responsive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first- and second-level technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues via phone, email, and in person.
- Support and maintain the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations ERP system and other internal business applications.
- Install, configure, and manage computer hardware, operating systems (Windows), and the Microsoft 365 suite.
- Administer and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, and Wi-Fi.
- Support virtual server environments (Hyper-V, VMware) and on-premise infrastructure.
- Maintain cybersecurity protocols and protect against internal and external threats.
- Perform system monitoring, backup maintenance, and regular performance checks.
- Assist with new hardware/software rollouts, security patching, and system implementations.
- Manage user accounts, access rights, and perform password resets.
- Maintain accurate documentation and IT knowledge bases.
- Educate users on best practices and basic IT troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with global IT colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery across all sites.
- Escalate complex issues to senior staff or vendors as needed.
- Provide occasional on-call support and occasional travel to other company sites.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT technical support or systems administration.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Dynamics Required
- Experience with network administration and cybersecurity best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
