As we expand into new verticals beyond insurance, we need a technical leader to drive architecture, scalability, and team growth to support the next stage of our journey.
The Role
We’re seeking a hands-on CTO who can define and execute our technology strategy, scale the platform for high-volume, low-latency distributed systems, and build a world-class engineering team. You’ll set the technical vision, guide architecture decisions, and ensure the platform remains reliable, secure, and compliant as traffic and customer adoption grow.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a leadership role where the product is already proven in-market, but the technology challenge ahead is to evolve it into a highly distributed, enterprise-grade system capable of handling massive scale.
What You’ll Do
Technology Strategy & Architecture
- Lead the evolution from monolithic services to a distributed, event-driven architecture.
- Architect systems for scale, resilience, and observability to handle 10x current traffic.
- Ensure compliance, security, and data privacy are built into every layer.
Engineering Leadership
- Recruit, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team.
- Establish processes for CI/CD, automated testing, and incident response.
- Foster a culture that balances speed, quality, and innovation.
Product Enablement
- Translate company goals (new verticals, new features) into technical roadmaps.
- Strengthen our real-time routing, fraud detection, and compliance infrastructure.
- Make critical build vs. buy vs. partner decisions.
Hands-On Contribution (initially)
- Write and review code, tackle critical-path problems, and mentor devs directly.
- Lead by example as a “player-coach” until the team scales further.
External Representation
- Partner with leadership to communicate our technology moat to investors, partners, and enterprise customers.
- Position AllCalls.io as a technology-first company in the inbound call marketplace.
Our Tech Stack
- Backend: Laravel (PHP), Redis, MySQL
- Frontend: Vue.js
- Telephony: Twilio Voice SDK (device tokens, routing, call flows)
- Infrastructure: DigitalOcean, Nginx, Redis (Moving to sharding), Horizon queues, CI/CD pipelines
- Mobile: Kotlin (Android), Swift (iOS)
- Scale Today: Millions of daily pings, hundreds of concurrent users, rapidly increasing
What We’re Looking For
- Experience scaling SaaS platforms to high traffic volumes with distributed architecture.
- Strong leadership track record building and leading engineering teams.
- Hands-on coding ability (Laravel/PHP, Vue, Redis, or equivalent).
- Expertise in event-driven systems, API scaling, and real-time infrastructure.
- Familiarity with compliance-driven environments (TCPA, HIPAA, SOC 2) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills; able to translate technical decisions for non-technical stakeholders.
Success in the First 12–18 Months
- Deliver a roadmap and initial execution of distributed architecture.
- Hire and onboard senior engineers across backend, DevOps, and frontend/mobile.
- Ensure 99.9%+ uptime across routing and transaction-critical systems.
- Position the platform to support 10x scale in both traffic and users.
- Earn investor and customer confidence in AllCalls.io’s technology as a competitive edge.
