Restoration Medicine is a healthcare startup using AI-powered diagnostic decision support tools, structured care planning, and integrated, team-based treatment to improve diagnoses, treatment, and outcomes in Pelvic Health. By combining data-driven insights with multidisciplinary care teams, we deliver faster diagnoses, personalized recovery plans, and measurable improvements in patient health.
Position Overview
The CTO will lead all aspects of information technology strategy, operations, and security for Restoration Medicine. This role is responsible for ensuring robust, secure, and compliant IT infrastructure that supports our integrated healthcare delivery model while enabling growth, operational efficiency, and exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have extensive healthcare IT experience, strong leadership capabilities, and deep understanding of healthcare compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Technology Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the IT strategy aligned with Restoration Medicine’s clinical, operational, and business goals.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, recommend innovations, and manage vendor relationships to enhance care delivery and business performance.
- Technology Development
- Design and implement AI algorithms to collect, analyze, and interpret patient-reported symptoms and history for diagnostic support.
- Develop and integrate patient interview interfaces (e.g., chatbots, web/mobile forms) with secure data capture and EHR integration.
- Incorporate clinical guidelines and cite medical society recommendations to ensure evidence-based diagnostic pathways.
- Systems & Infrastructure Management
- Oversee RM Intake Took, EHR systems (Elation), telehealth platforms, billing software, and integrated care management tools.
- Manage healthcare-specific applications including Practice Management Systems, Revenue Cycle Management, and Patient Portal solutions
- Ensure robust network infrastructure, cloud services, and data center operations
- Lead system integrations between clinical and administrative platforms
- Oversee telemedicine and remote care delivery technology platforms
- Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Ensure system interoperability, scalability, and compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, HITECH, CMS).
- Implement and maintain robust data security, privacy, and compliance policies.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and disaster recovery planning.
- Operational Support & Optimization
- Lead IT support services, ensuring minimal downtime and prompt resolution of issues for clinical and administrative teams.
- Develop IT policies, SOPs, and best practices to support multidisciplinary teams and virtual care delivery.
- Team & Vendor Management
- Build and manage a high-performing IT team, including in-house staff and external partners.
- Manage relationships with key technology vendors, EHR providers, and healthcare IT consultants
- Negotiate and manage contracts with IT vendors, cloud providers, and service partners.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 7+ years of IT leadership experience, preferably in healthcare or a HIPAA-regulated environment.
- Proven experience with EHR systems, telehealth platforms, and integrated care delivery models.
- Strong knowledge of data privacy, security frameworks, and compliance requirements (HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST).
- Demonstrated success in leading IT strategy for growth-stage or integrated health organizations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with virtual care and chronic care management (CCM, RPM).
- Knowledge of healthcare IT systems including EHRs (Epic, Elation)
- Knowledge of health information exchange (HIE) and interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7).
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid infrastructure
- Familiarity with value-based care, population health, and analytics platforms.
