Position Summary
A Coordinator of Sponsorship activation will serve in a support role for the activation team in the creation, development and execution of various sponsored initiatives while collaborating with clients and internal teams under the guidance of a Senior Activation Manager. In this role, the activation coordinator will assist in the execution of in-game promotions, off-site events, community campaigns, renewals, upsells and serve as primary point of contact, when assigned to foster meaningful relationships with sponsors while upholding the integrity of the Dallas Mavericks brand and core values.
The ideal candidate is a client-focused, detail-oriented professional who takes the initiative to aid in the activation and reporting of partnership assets with a creative and solution-based mindset. They exemplify strong knowledge of sports sponsorship and ability to learn and discover new methods to elevate the partnerships with the opportunity for generating new revenue.
Job Function
Support and Execution of Sponsorship Assets and Deliverables
- Assist in day-to-day execution of assets on designated sponsorship accounts as assigned by your direct report – Sr. Manager of Sponsorship Activation.
- Monitor Dallas Mavericks owned channels – including the Dallas Mavericks App, social media accounts, emails, and website – to track and capture sponsor content for proof of performance.
- Manage corporate sponsorship accounts and asset details via CRM & activation software platforms (e.g KORE, Blinkfire, Asana)
- Assist in the creation and implementation of all shared corporate sponsor documentation and reporting including inventory/asset management and allocations and proof of performance.
- Work Dallas Mavericks home games and other Mavericks events assigned to execute and monitor sponsor activations.
- When assigned, serve as a main point of contact and work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure an elevated level of execution, customer service, and fulfillment of all deliverables within budget parameters.
Revenue Generation And Inventory Ideation
- Identify upsell and revenue growth opportunities within existing sponsorships.
- Utilize research & data analysis to position campaigns, shift assets as needed, and deliver proof of performance.
- Identify, present, and sell new activation ideas to drive upsell and/or renewal revenue by utilizing internal resources and sales tactics in collaboration with sponsorship leadership team.
Internal & External Communication, Relationships, And Knowledge
- Build strong relationships with sponsors and establish trust that contracts will be executed successfully.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the National Basketball Association and Dallas Mavericks rules, guidelines, and procedures to ensure compliance across all partners.
- Identify synergies between Dallas Mavericks priorities/initiatives and corporate sponsor objectives.
- Provide regular and consistent communication including meeting notes & agendas, recaps, reporting, and proof of performance updates.
- Assist in executing events, promotions, sweepstakes, VIP experiences and miscellaneous departmental projects.
- Work closely with the Sponsor Operations team to provide and elevate sponsor hospitality experiences

Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree (Sport Marketing/Advertising/Marketing ideal) with 2+ years of practical experience in sports sponsorships
- Minimum of 1-2 years of corporate sponsorship sales and/or account management experience preferably within the sports industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Cloud is a plus.
- Valid Driver License
