We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Administrator to manage and maintain our organization's network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking technologies, security best practices, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
- Manage network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Maintain documentation of network configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.
- Collaborate with IT team members to support server infrastructure and cloud services.
- Provide technical support and training to staff as needed.
- Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies and solutions.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in network administration or related IT role.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and diagnostic utilities.
- Preferred: Hands-on experience with Ubiquiti UniFi networking equipment and software.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux server environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA) are a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud networking and hybrid environments.
- Knowledge of VoIP systems and configuration.
- Scripting or automation experience (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
