About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on technical visionary—someone equally comfortable writing code, architecting complex systems, and setting long-term strategic direction. This isn’t a “sit in meetings” executive role—it’s about leading from the front, building the next generation of robotics and AI systems that redefine how physical environments come to life.
Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership
- Collaborate closely with engineers to design and implement robotics control systems, AI algorithms, and automation platforms.
- Lead architectural decisions across perception, motion, and system integration layers.
- Optimize live robotic systems deployed in industrial settings.
- Build prototypes and early-stage features that push the limits of autonomous construction.
System Architecture
- Develop scalable infrastructure linking digital design, AI-driven planning, and robotic execution.
- Create data pipelines and APIs for seamless integration with broader construction technologies.
- Implement strong security and reliability frameworks for production systems.
AI and Robotics Development
- Oversee machine learning initiatives driving perception, motion planning, and adaptive control.
- Advance computer vision, sensor fusion, and generative design for improved precision and efficiency.
- Lead innovation in predictive modeling and autonomous decision systems.
- Strategic Vision
- Define long-term technology roadmaps and identify strategic research and partnership opportunities.
- Drive intellectual property initiatives and contribute to patent strategy.
- Scale high-performing engineering teams and uphold a culture of technical excellence.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years leading technical teams.
- Deep experience in robotics, automation, or manufacturing systems.
- Strong background in system architecture, AI/ML development, and software engineering.
- Expertise with ROS2 or similar robotics frameworks.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, or Rust.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM workflows, digital fabrication, and automation systems.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Graduate degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or related field.
- Previous work in construction tech or advanced manufacturing.
- Startup or venture-backed environment experience.
- Publications, patents, or conference presentations.
- Global or multi-site deployment experience.
Pay range and compensation package
- ~$150K base (to start: Series A closing expected Q1 2026, with comp reviewed after that)
- $50K annual performance bonus (individual + company goals)
