A recognized services company is actively seeking a new Microsoft Systems Administrator to join a dedicated team onsite in Oakridge, TN.
***This role requires onsite presence 5 days a week.***
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage Hyper-V Clusters, including shared storage, disk configurations, and load balancing
- Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux environments
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and system management
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to support Fortinet switches, routers, firewalls, and access points at the facility
- Perform intermediate-level network engineering tasks, including cabling, configuration, and diagnostics
- Monitor system performance, ensure uptime, and implement proactive maintenance strategies
- Maintain documentation for systems architecture, configurations, and procedures
- Provide on-site support 5 days per week, ensuring rapid response to manufacturing needs
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Microsoft Systems Administrator
- Proven expertise with Hyper-V Clustering in production environments
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, and PowerShell scripting
- Working knowledge of network engineering, including cabling and basic switch/router configuration
- Experience with Fortinet network devices (switches, routers, firewalls)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Desired Skills:
- Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or Fortinet NSE
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial IT environments
- Familiarity with SAN/NAS storage systems and backup solutions
