Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Project Manager with a strong background in Java development, Agile methodologies, and project planning. The ideal candidate will manage the full lifecycle of technical projects, ensuring successful delivery by coordinating across teams, managing stakeholders, and using tools like JIRA to track progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage, and execute technical projects from initiation to delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, business analysts, and product owners.
- Provide technical guidance and understanding, particularly in Java-based development projects.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Lead Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos.
- Track and manage tasks using JIRA, ensuring project milestones and deadlines are met.
- Identify project risks and create mitigation strategies.
- Manage stakeholder communication, expectations, and reporting.
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or similar role.
- Strong background in Java development (understanding of code, architecture, and deployment processes).
- Proficiency in project management tools, especially JIRA.
- Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s is a plus).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Scrum Master or PMP certification.
- Experience managing distributed or offshore development teams.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and DevOps practices.
