We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Administrator to manage and maintain our organization’s network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience with network hardware and software configuration, security practices, and strong familiarity with Linux-based systems. This position requires both technical expertise and a problem-solving mindset to ensure optimal network performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless networks.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure maximum uptime.
- Manage user access, permissions, and network security policies.
- Maintain and optimize Linux servers and services used for network operations (e.g., DNS, DHCP, NTP, Syslog).
- Perform regular network health checks, backups, and patch management.
- Implement and maintain network monitoring tools
- Document network configurations, changes, and procedures for operational continuity.
- Support network upgrades, expansions, and technology migrations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in network administration or a related IT role.
- Certifications: CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent certifications preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs).
- Strong working knowledge of Linux and Windows systems administration (Red Hat, Ubuntu and Windows Server).
- Experience with network and server hardware (Cisco, Ubiquiti, HPE, Dell EMC)
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Bash, Python) a plus.
- Knowledge of firewalls and security best practices.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities to effectively train diverse audiences.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
Location & Work Environment
- Full-time position with occasional on-call or after-hours support as needed.
