Our team in Pensacola, FL has an immediate need for a Junior Windows System Admin (MECM). Primary responsibilities include:
- Assist in administrating and maintaining Windows Server environments, including performance tuning, software installation, and storage allocation
- Maintain and configure MECM servers, distribution points, and related infrastructure
- Utilize MECM for application packaging, deployment, and management of update
- Develop and submit Change Requests (CRQs) for system modifications
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation
- Participate in accreditation processes and preparations for Command Cyber Operational Readiness Inspections
- Assist in the creation and implementation of disaster recovery, business continuity, and failover/cutover procedures
- Address and resolve customer issues using the Navy Enterprise Service Desk (NESD) ticket system (Helix)
- Implement and maintain DISA STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides) on Windows Servers and related infrastructure
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to the MECM SQL database server, including performance tuning and query optimization
- Troubleshoot system issues and implementing resolutions
- Write and update system documentation
- 5+ years of progressive IT experience, with a focus on Microsoft Windows Server 2019 and above administration within the last three years
- Demonstrated experience maintaining and configuring Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) servers, distribution points, and related infrastructure. This includes experience with application deployment, patch management, and OS deployment
- 1+ year of experience within large IT service contracts, including personnel of diverse skills and job categories (within the last five years)
- Possess a current certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II
- This is not a Remote/Hybrid position. Candidates are expected to report to the office daily
