Network/Systems Administrator

Pay Rate: $41-$45/Hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
This role is only for consultants with any visa status; No C-2-C; Local candidates who can work on a W-2 only.
Job Summary:
Under general direction, the Network/Systems Administrator will support the Refining BLAN (Business LAN) network infrastructure at the St. Paul Park refinery. This role focuses on Layer 2 network administration and deskside support, ensuring long-term operational needs are met in alignment with Refining IT planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and maintain network switches and related accessories
- Perform iOS updates and troubleshoot connectivity issues
- Administer DNS, DHCP, and DHCP snooping services
- Support private cellular mobility (eSIMs, SIMs, Digi devices)
- Provide deskside support and AV setup in meeting rooms
- Maintain documentation of network configurations and changes
- Collaborate with Refining IT and corporate teams for Layer 3 support
- Participate in network upgrades and mobile device rollouts
Required Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in network or systems administration
- Hands-on experience with Layer 2 networking
- Strong understanding of DNS, DHCP, and basic network protocols
- Experience configuring switches and troubleshooting connectivity
- Familiarity with mobile device setup (SIMs, eSIMs)
- Ability to work independently on-site in a refinery environment
- Comfortable with AV equipment setup and support
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA)
- Experience in industrial or energy sector environments
- Knowledge of iOS device management and Digi cellular solutions.
