Network Administrator
Terms: 1 year contract
Pay Rate: $40-45/hr W2
Bill Rate with MSP fee: $60/hr
Work schedule details: Onsite - Mid-Atlantic region

AM Updates:- This is a heads-up, backfill for someone on Mark Glenn's team that is out for health reasons.
- This position is VERY field service/support heavy. The candidate will absolutely be traveling around to different sites ti support.
The role is field-based in the Mid-Atlantic region, so the person will travel to multiple sites rather than being tied to a single desk.
Because it’s hands-on network support (switches, routers, circuits, closets), the expectation is that the candidate will work onsite at client or regional sites as needed.

Responsibilities:Configure, install, and maintain network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
Perform punchdowns, circuit installations, and closet setups to ensure optimal connectivity and physical network organization.
Support and troubleshoot VoIP / telephony systems, ensuring call quality and uptime.
Diagnose and resolve network performance issues with a methodical, root-cause-driven approach.
Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of all configurations, changes, and service requests.
Provide exceptional customer service to users and stakeholders, communicating technical information clearly and professionally.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support broader IT and infrastructure initiatives.
- Adhere to company policies and security standards while managing network assets and user access.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of hands-on experience in network administration, field support, or related IT infrastructure roles.
Proficiency in network configuration and troubleshooting (switches, routers, circuits, patch panels, etc.).
Working knowledge of VoIP and telephony systems.
Strong understanding of network protocols, cabling standards, and connectivity troubleshooting.
Excellent communication and documentation skills — able to explain complex issues in clear terms.
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or similar.
Experience supporting users across multiple regional offices or field environments.
Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT documentation tools.
Exposure to cloud or hybrid network environments.
