Akkodis is seeking a
Desktop Admin for a
Contract with a client in
Chicago, IL. You will manage company-owned device lifecycle tasks such as adding, moving, and updating assets, while ensuring smooth OS imaging and troubleshooting.
Rate Range: $24/hour to $26/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Desktop Admin Job Responsibilities Include
- Perform basic IT hardware troubleshooting and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Image and configure Windows operating systems (XP/7/10/11) for new and existing devices.
- Manage PC asset lifecycle tasks including adding, moving, updating, and reassigning company-owned devices.
- Install and update software applications as per organizational standards and user requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of IT assets and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Provide end-user support for hardware and OS-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–4 years in desktop administration or IT support roles.
- Proficiency in Windows OS imaging and troubleshooting (XP/7/10/11).
- Hands-on experience with PC asset lifecycle management (Add, Move, Change, Update, Reassign).

Pay Details: $24.00 to $26.00 per hour
