The DARKWING Program is seeking a highly motivated Systems Administrator to join our team in La Plata, MD. The System Administrator (SA) is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Windows and Linux systems and hardware. Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space.
- Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
- Configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, system back-ups, anti-virus updates, and implementation of related infrastructure requirements in accordance with program requirements.
- Must be able to review system logs to identify potential problem areas and make recommendations for resolution.
- Provides all operating system and anti-virus updates, participate in technical research and development to support new work requirements, and hardware end of life replacement.
- Assist the engineering team with technical issues in the initiation and planning phases as new projects are initiated. These activities may include technical strategy, research & development and designing to a project life cycle.
- Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators.
- Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
- Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
Support an on-call duty rotation for afterhours support as needed.
Some nights and weekend work may be involved. Must have a TS/SCI clearance with an adjudicated CI polygraph.

- Experience with Group Policy Object configuration and administration
- Virtual machine experience (VMWARE)
- Backup, restore and recovery experience (VEEAM)
- Familiarization with ICD 503 Security Requirements
- Experience in IT troubleshooting
- Experience with Trellix and EPO/ENS
- Experience in the application of STIG settings to network computing infrastructure
- Problem resolution skills
- Can perform tasks with minimal supervision
- Support documentation updates

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
