Job Title: Senior Data Architect

Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement data architecture strategies for enterprise data platforms (on-prem, cloud, and hybrid).
- Design and oversee data lake, data warehouse, and data mesh architectures to support analytics and operational workloads.
- Lead data modeling, metadata management, data integration, and master data management (MDM) initiatives.
- Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data solutions and architecture blueprints.
- Establish data governance frameworks, data quality standards, and security compliance across the data ecosystem.
- Collaborate with cloud engineering teams to implement modern data solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging data technologies, tools, and platforms aligned with organizational goals.
- Mentor data engineers and analysts, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 14+ years of progressive experience in data engineering, data architecture, or information management.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing enterprise data platforms on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong proficiency in data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical) and data integration design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and modern ETL/ELT frameworks.
- Expertise in data warehousing (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery) and data lake architectures (S3, Delta Lake, Databricks).
- Deep understanding of data governance, lineage, and metadata management.
- Strong understanding of security, privacy, and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence data strategy at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing data mesh or data fabric architectures.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and streaming data platforms (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub).
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty.
- Background in machine learning architecture or AI-driven data systems.
- Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
