Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Implement global network architectures aligned with business and IT requirements, including data communications, WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi technologies, network monitoring, remote access, IP communications, VoIP, and related technologies.
- Provide comprehensive technical support for all network services, including design, architecture, evaluation, and selection of equipment, software, and solutions.
- Administer a multi-facility, multi-location global network using TCP/IP and other protocols across Linux, and Windows environments.
- Perform daily administration of WANs, LANs, VLANs, SD-WAN, backup circuits, and subnets.
- Monitor and analyze network utilization; perform configuration changes and maintain network monitoring software.
- Assist in the design, implementation, administration, and configuration of the enterprise Cisco phone system.
- Assist in the design, implementation, administration, and configuration of the Cisco ISE and Umbrella
- Identify, recommend, and execute network projects that drive cost savings or provide strategic organizational benefits.
- Develop and maintain plans for networking and telecommunications systems.
- Manage multiple priorities within a highly complex enterprise network environment.
- Troubleshoot network systems and applications to resolve malfunctions and operational issues.
- Maintain network security through patch management, antivirus protection, and performance optimization.
- Manage network and firewall traffic to detect unauthorized access, identify misconfigurations, and evaluate overall network health and security.
- Monitor and analyze network utilization, perform required configuration changes, and maintain alerting and monitoring systems.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement network hardware, peripherals, and software.
- Provide technical consulting to internal departments regarding network and computer systems to support business needs.
- Assist in developing and maintaining the company-wide Disaster Recovery Plan.
- Support Help Desk operations for network-related issues.
- Create and maintain documentation for all network systems, including standard operating procedures.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and industry best practices.
- Travel of an occasional nature to and from group facilities is also to be expected under normal conditions, but majority of work should be accomplished remotely.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience designing, implementing, and managing multi-location, multi-platform corporate networks.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment, SD_WAN, ISE, Umbrella, and phone systems.
- Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) preferred; advanced certifications a plus.
- Expert knowledge across multiple network technologies and disciplines.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to effectively communicate with non-technical users.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to proactively resolve complex performance issues with potential organizational impact.
