Title: IT Generalist

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Information Technology (IT) Generalist performs a dynamic spectrum of tasks to keep a company's information systems up to date, running smoothly, and transparent to the business. IT Generalists are extremely valuable because they learn skills quickly, think on their feet, and are assigned to projects and tasks based on business needs. IT Generalists are expert learners, problem solvers, and big-picture thinkers keeping company success paramount. This position reports to the Senior Director of Information Systems.
PRIMARY (Essential) FUNCTIONS:
The Information Technology Generalist’s key functions will align with ensuring ongoing data and asset protection, software and hardware support, technical support and training for staff members, and special projects as assigned.
Demonstrate a broad understanding of various technologies and practiced skill sets in the IT spectrum. This includes solutions, project management, security, privacy, network design and management, web and web security, database, equipment and software inventory, budget, and all aspects of the user experience.
- Perform vital roles in cybersecurity, data, and asset protection including security events and malicious email mitigation.
- Assist with the implementation and the reinforcement of security measures to protect the
Company’s data and assets, including data storage, backup, and recovery.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
- Assist with identifying non-compliant areas and implementing solutions.
- Act as escalation point and expediter for users experiencing hardware, software, or network-related issues unresolved by the Help Desk or other entities.
- Provide support by helping users define, diagnose, and resolve issues.
- Interpret user technical experiences and needs for technical support for clarity and accuracy.
- Utilize troubleshooting techniques and diagnostic tools to isolate root causes and determine right solutions.
- Communicate technical concepts and solutions in a clear and understandable manner, fostering positive relationships with end-users and support entities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
- 7 years’ broad and varied IT experience or proven blend of experience and technical
certifications.
Skills/Abilities:
- Experienced in Microsoft Active Directory & the full specturm of a M365 hybrid environment.
- Microsoft Itune and Entra including SaaS SSO integrations.
- Demostrable experiencece with Microsoft Azure
- Highly proficient with multiple OS including Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS.
- Demostrable experience with IoT, SaaS, IaaS, etc.
- Practiced experience with a spectrum of network infrastructure devices and cabling.
- Detailed oriented, organized, excellent communication skills,
- Skilled in using and assiting users with Microsoft Office suite Windows and Mac.
- A strong security and privacy background is preferred.
