Job Title: System Administrator

Overview
The Administrator will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and securing complex Windows/Linux infrastructures, containerized environments, and clustered storage platforms. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong security awareness, and hands-on experience supporting high-availability environments in compliance with federal cybersecurity standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux operating systems and enterprise applications.
- Perform large-scale software deployments on Linux/UNIX platforms.
- Oversee system backups, patching, updates, and overall performance monitoring.
- Administer and maintain clustered storage technologies (e.g., storage appliances, Ceph).
- Implement and enforce security policies and procedures; support RMF documentation and compliance activities.
- Respond to and investigate security incidents, including conducting forensic analysis.
- Provide Tier 3 support to diagnose and resolve complex system issues.
- Collaborate closely with network engineers, ISSOs, and development teams; maintain comprehensive system documentation and SOPs.
- Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline administrative tasks; support configuration management with tools such as Puppet or Ansible.
- Administer Kubernetes-based container environments; ensure secure, efficient deployment and optimize container performance.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of system administration experience in secure or classified environments.
- Proven hands-on experience with container technologies, clustered storage systems, and configuration management tools.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and federal compliance frameworks (e.g., RMF, NIST).
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and support high-availability, mission-critical systems.
