About The Role
We are seeking an
Actuarial Analyst to support our commercial lines of business. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical, project management, and communication skills who is eager to contribute to profitability and strategic decision-making. The analyst will perform a variety of actuarial analyses, provide business insights, and support special projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Underwriting and Claims to assess the impact of initiatives, shifts in business mix, and external market changes for incorporation into reserve analyses.
- Conduct quarterly reserve reviews for assigned lines of business/programs to ensure reserves are adequate and accurately reported.
- Present analytical findings to stakeholders, highlighting key drivers and enabling informed business decisions.
- Develop and enhance pricing models aligned with internal pricing guidelines.
- Maintain clear and thorough documentation of methodologies and activities.
- Create effective tools to monitor internal and external performance indicators.
- Lead and support process improvement initiatives.
- Manage ad hoc projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field.
- 0-2+ years of actuarial experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new software tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the property & casualty insurance industry.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as R, VBA, and/or SQL.

Compensation
- The base salary range for this position is $70,000-$75,000 plus eligibility for a performance-based annual bonus. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors including experience, education, and location.
