System Implementation and Administration
- Work closely with the Implementation Manager and project teams during the design and configuration phases to ensure the system is built to meet business requirements.
- Serve as the primary system administrator post-launch, managing user roles, security protocols, backup and recovery planning, and overall system integrity.
- Perform application configuration based on user requests and evolving business needs, often with constantly changing priorities.
- Ensure the system is secure and that data housed within it is appropriately protected, including the implementation of adequate system logging and auditing.
- Show responsibility for personal physical hardware inventory (PC, Metro phone, card keys, etc.).
Technical Support and Analysis
- Provide primary application support, day-to-day troubleshooting, and expert guidance to all system users.
- Perform comprehensive application testing, including the development of test plans/cases and execution, to resolve issues and validate updates.
- Analyze system performance and business processes to identify and recommend opportunities for improvements, enhancements, and automation.
- Research and develop solutions to difficult issues; consult with experts and review literature to present alternatives to management.
- Create and manage custom reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights into real estate operations.
Collaboration and Communication
- Act as the key liaison between business users, the ITS technical team, vendors, and other stakeholders (including process owners and departments).
- Communicate technical material effectively to non-technical audiences using appropriate communication channels (email, telephone, meetings).
- Coordinate with vendors and internal experts to identify and implement solutions to complex issues.
- Work to establish and maintain effective working relationships, responding to customer requests or inquiries in a timely manner.
Documentation and Training
- Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures.
- Leads the creation and maintenance of standards, policies, and procedures specific to the functional area.
- Create and deliver training programs and materials to empower team members and promote user adoption.
Fiscal Responsibility s Strategy
- Maintain awareness of and operate within ITS and Metro-wide purchasing and budgeting rules, processes, and standards.
- Ensure compliance with licensing within the technical functional area.
- Lead the development of the functional area strategic roadmap and goals.
- Demonstrate conscientious use of Metro assets and resources.
Qualifications
Required Experience and Skills
- Education/Experience: Demonstrated experience as a Systems Administrator, Business Analyst, or in a similar role supporting an enterprise-level platform.
- Driver’s License: Must possess a Valid “Class D” Driver’s License.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills with the ability to gather information, research solutions, and resolve complex issues.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative spirit and a passion for training and supporting others.
- Adaptability: Proven ability to manage changing priorities, work independently, and maintain effective working relationships with customers and team members.
- Professional Development: Demonstrates active learning and aggressively maintains skillsets, actively acquiring new skills in the area of technical function.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, s Abilities
- Direct, hands-on experience with Oracle enterprise solutions (e.g., Oracle Cloud ERP, E-Business Suite).
- Experience with systems used for real estate, asset, or facilities management.
- A solid understanding of real estate principles (lease administration, property management, portfolio analysis) or a demonstrated ability to quickly become proficient in these topics.
- Experience working within a government or public sector environment.
