ANTICIPATED SALARY: $40,600.00 to $82,000.00 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package, to include membership in the Arizona State Retirement system

NATURE OF WORK: Under limited supervision, monitors, analyzes, defines, and configures system resources, operating systems, application administration and communication networks; coordinates software installation/updates and customer problem resolution; performs related duties as assigned.As defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include any of the following tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics. TYPICAL DUTIES: (Illustrative Only) Monitor system resources and analyze the impact of operating system changes; apply operating system changes and manage software updates; act as the subject matter expert on select system applications such as ERP System and define and configure communication networks; coordinate installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware and software updates with IT Team members; oversee backups and system restores; monitor and analyze system errors, and work with service personnel for customer problem resolution; develop curriculum and provide training to end-users on enterprise application usage; analyze system faults, troubleshoot, and run diagnostic tests on operating systems and hardware to detect problems; research, recommend, and deploy IT hardware, software, and services; implement automation solutions to streamline IT processes and improve efficiency.A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Computer Information Systems from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education and two (2) years of enterprise software/hardware installation, configuration, and support experience; or six (6) years of enterprise software/hardware installation, configuration, and support experience; must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license and the ability to be covered by county insurance.
An equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved may be considered.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to individuals with a certification in MCSA, MCSE, or MCP and/or have experience with project management applications and automation tools.
Considerable knowledge of:
- centralized computer operating system environment and procedures;
- centralized computer communications and networking;
- centralized computer performance configuration;
- Office 365 Enterprise;
- VMWare VCenter/ESXi;
- Active Directory (On-Premise and Azure);
- Microsoft SQL Server + (Including Reporting Services and Azure SQL as a Service);
- record keeping and report preparation.
Considerable Skill In
- installing/troubleshooting servers and installing Microsoft Server operating systems;
- installing, configuring, documenting, and supporting Microsoft Server in an enterprise environment;
- supporting customers and IT teams such as helpdesk and desktop support at tier 2 and tier 3 levels;
- administering application software for security, antivirus, and backups – including backup and restore of Microsoft SQL Databases;
- user account security management tasks;
- project planning, management, and control;
- identifying, analyzing, and resolving problems and needs applicable to automated information applications and systems;
- implementing procedures and methods used in conducting systems analysis;
- understanding complex verbal and written instructions;
- automation tools such as Microsoft Power Automate, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef;
- familiarity with project management and collaboration tools like monday.com;
- scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash;
- cloud services, including Azure and AWS.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is primarily performed under limited supervision in a typical office setting with appropriate climate controls, outdoors in a variety of climatic conditions, and may include work in confined spaces. May require travel, working early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Essential functions of this position require: lifting, manual dexterity, fine motor skills, ability to communicate.
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects; involves sitting, walking and standing regularly; incumbents may be required to kneel, crouch/squat, crawl, climb, stoop, turn/twist, balance, reach, feel, or manipulate with hands.
