Robert Half is partnering with a well know brand that is seeking a Ansible Endpoint Support Engineer (Factory & Embedded Systems) or Senior System Administrator to maintain and troubleshoot a diverse fleet of physical endpoints deployed across factory environments, remote offices, and embedded within industrial machinery. This role leverages Ansible (among other Endpoint Administration Tools) for cross platform support and ensures the reliability, security, and performance of critical devices that support production operations and business continuity. Position is full time, with full benefits and is hybrid, with 3 days onsite near Gardena.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and end point troubleshooting on physical computing devices and specialized endpoints integrated into machining equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Support industrial and embedded devices such as HMIs, edge computers, and controllers connected to manufacturing equipment.
- Deploy and manage virtual machines on on-premises servers using Quick EMUlator.
- Leverage Ansible to Install software, apply configurations, and enforce security policies.
- Orchestrate tasks across multiple systems
- Administer EC2 instances in AWS, including scaling, networking, and security settings.
- Ensure environments are optimized, secure, and highly available.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, IT teams, and vendors to coordinate repairs and replacements without disrupting production.
- Ensure endpoint security through encryption, access controls, and monitoring tools.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in endpoint maintenance and troubleshooting within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, device imaging tools, and remote support platforms.
- Experience with Ansible to configure and manage endpoints for cross platform support.
- Knowledge of industrial computing devices, HMIs, and embedded systems.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, VPN) and peripheral connectivity.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of endpoint security tools and compliance frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with asset management systems and documentation practices.
