About the Role
We are looking for a Technical Writer with strong experience in creating clear, standardized documentation and technical diagrams. In this role, you will work closely with our engineering and technical teams to gather requirements, understand complex systems, and translate that information into concise, audit-ready documentation. Your work will be essential in supporting our compliance and audit processes.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and technical leads to gather detailed system and process information.
- Create standardized documentation required for audits, including system architecture documents, process overviews, data flow diagrams, and control descriptions.
- Develop visual diagrams (e.g., network diagrams, data flow charts, workflow models) that accurately represent technical environments.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, easy-to-understand documentation for non-technical audiences such as auditors.
- Maintain consistency across all documentation by establishing templates, style guides, and formatting standards.
- Continuously update and improve documentation to reflect evolving systems, processes, and controls.
- Assist in building a repeatable documentation process to support ongoing compliance efforts.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Technical Writer or Technical Communicator.
- Strong ability to understand and explain technical concepts clearly.
- Experience creating diagrams using tools like Lucidchart, Draw.io, Visio, or similar.
- Proven ability to work closely with engineers and technical SMEs to gather accurate information.
- Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills.
- Experience with compliance or audit documentation (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI) is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with software development concepts and cloud technologies is a plus.
