Dragonfli Group is seeking an experienced Compliance & Risk Management Lead Consultant to support a client engagement with a large municipal energy and utilities enterprise. The client is standing up a comprehensive enterprise risk management (ERM) program, and this consultant will guide the buildout of the full framework—from policy creation through governance, risk assessment processes, culture development, and enterprise reporting.
This is a senior advisory role that requires an individual who has successfully built ERM programs in complex, highly regulated environments and can work hands-on with executives, operational leaders, and cross-functional teams to institutionalize risk and compliance practices.
Preference given to candidates located within the PST time zone.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of leadership experience in Enterprise Risk Management, corporate compliance, or risk governance.
- Demonstrated success in standing up ERM programs including policy development, governance structure, risk taxonomy, risk register creation, ranking criteria, risk profiles, and reporting capabilities.
- Experience operationalizing risk identification, assessment, mitigation planning, and reporting processes.
- Strong background influencing organizational culture and establishing risk awareness at all levels.
- Experience integrating risk frameworks into enterprise decision-making and performance processes.
- Prior consulting experience or experience working in matrixed environments strongly preferred.
- Deep familiarity with regulated sectors (utilities, energy, public sector, infrastructure, critical services, etc.).
Skill(s):
- Advanced knowledge of ERM frameworks, tools, methodologies, and maturity models.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and coaching abilities.
- Ability to design templates, dashboards, governance documentation, and scalable processes.
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to translate complex risk issues into clear priorities.
- Comfortable leading sessions, working onsite with client teams, and driving execution under tight timelines.
- Ability to transfer knowledge and upskill client personnel as part of engagements.
