ROLE SUMMARY
The Risk Management Analyst will play a critical role in working with suppliers and customers from all over the world, helping to tie together the process of buying, selling and moving metal while minimizing Kataman’s risk from market fluctuations. The analyst will coordinate data, reconcile information across systems, support logistics and trading groups, and help maintain accuracy, organization and momentum throughout long-duration workflows that may span several months.
This role requires someone analytical, organized, confident working with traders and global stakeholders, and comfortable owning tasks end-to-end with a high degree of accountability.
This is a full-time, on-site position located in St. Louis, MO.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage risk by understanding the company’s current position, initiating and tracking hedges, and effectively communicating with the trading, logistics and accounting teams
• Own data for contracts and pricing documentation to effectively communicate with the customer and internal team members allowing for accurate forecasts and P&Ls
• Manage multi-stage monthslong workflows from initial event through final completion, maintaining organization through each stage and working proactively as various stages transition
• Support trading teams in daily operations; maintain poise when working in a fast-paced, demanding environment
• Perform data reconciliation across multiple sources (broker statements, ERP, internal sources, etc.) to ensure accuracy
• Utilize advanced Excel skills to update, analyze, and transform data
• Adapt to the needs of a global business, which may occasionally require late responses, after-hours checks, or holiday availability
• Contribute to a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and operational discipline
• Learn hedging concepts and other industry-specific processes
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Proficiency in Excel is required
• Strong data analysis skills
• Strong organizational skills and comfort managing long, multi-stage workflows
• Spanish language ability is a strong plus for supporting cross-team communication
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with high-expectation stakeholders
• Ability to maintain responsiveness in a global business environment
