Responsibilities
Kforce has a client that is seeking a System Admin in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. Responsibilities:
- System Admin will install, configure, and maintain operating systems and application software
- Maintain and optimize network infrastructure, server hardware, virtualization environments, and storage systems
- Assist and support the planning and execution of upgrades, migrations, and new deployments across on prem and cloud environments
- Monitor system performance and ensure high levels of uptime and reliability
- Perform routine backup and recovery operations for critical data and systems
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing exercises
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across various platforms
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity
- Apply operating system and application patches, updates, and security fixes
- As a System Admin, you will create and maintain up-to-date documentation for system configurations and procedures
- Provide user support and training for basic system functionality and best practices
- Assist in capacity planning, resource allocation, and technology refresh efforts
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, CCNA, CompTIA Security) are a plus
- 3-5 years of proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of enterprise-level infrastructure, system administration, and cybersecurity best practices
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Valid driver's license is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
