Job Summary
The Night Auditor is responsible for balancing the revenue and expense transactions, handling the front
desk duties during the overnight shift, and ensuring a smooth operation of the hotel during nighttime
hours. The role also involves providing exceptional customer service to hotel guests.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform nightly audit of hotel transactions, ensuring that all financials are accurately balanced.
- Check guests in and out, ensuring proper room assignments and handling guest requests
efficiently.
- Handle all guest inquiries, providing information about the hotel, its services, and the local area.
- Prepare and distribute daily reports to the management team.
- Monitor the security of the hotel during the night, responding to any emergencies or disturbances.
- Process all financial transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and ensuring
proper posting to guest accounts.
- Ensure proper communication with the next shift and management team, noting any issues or
important information.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.
- Provide wake-up calls and perform other guest services as needed.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of hotel equipment and systems, escalating issues to the
appropriate department as necessary.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a customer service role preferred.
- Experience in accounting or bookkeeping is a plus.
Skills And Abilities
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numbers.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in the use of computers and hotel management software.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.

Requirements
Physical Requirements:
