GC Associates USA (GCA) is seeking an experienced Senior Programmer Application to support a DoD services contract on Oahu. The successful candidate will work directly with the GCA Team and our DoD client to ensure deliverables and performance requirements are successfully executed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide expert IT support, technical guidance, tools, services, and support that enable efficient and effective IT delivery; maintain existing applications and services.
- Provide Network Administration services of systems, to include production-high, production-low, test-high, test-low, and the programmer development environment.
- Run periodic (daily, weekly, monthly) backups on 15 system servers to maintain continuity of operations. 100% backup of all servers, 5 applications and 3 databases.
- Provide IT support and problem resolution during Government normal hours of operations (0730–1630), Monday through Friday. Weekly help desk support requests range from 20 to 100.
- Provide Information Assurance (IA) and Vulnerability Assessment (IAVA) security updates(software patches), including testing and deployment, when mandated by the Fleet Cybercommand. Average IAVAs are 10 per month. IAVAs shall be tested and installed before the due date, 100% of the time.
- Maintain server patch compliance in accordance with DoD-CERT (a division of the United States Cyber Command) issued directives (via Naval Message traffic and web links) for each IA vulnerability for 100% monthly compliance.
- Perform system security hardening to ensure that the systems are in compliance with their Certification and Accreditation Authorization to Operate. The Contractor shall be able to analyze and interpret the Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs), document findings, and implement remediation and/or mitigations in accordance with DoD policies. The Contractor’s analysis: remediation and mitigations shall meet the requirements of the STIG(s) and shall not interfere with the system’s performance capability.
- Scan 15 system servers weekly to detect anomalous activities and identify issues that impact system server functionality, including, audit logs, system logs and Host- Based Security System(HBSS). The Contractor shall perform thorough trouble evaluation and provide effective recommendations addressing anomalies and issues that lead to trouble resolution or system restoration within 24 hours.
- Configure and maintain network device configurations in accordance with Security Technical Implementation Guides. The Contractor shall document and maintain 21 system network devices. These device configurations include (but not limited to) network diagrams, rack layouts, switchport assignments, device settings, usernames/passwords, IP address assignments, and other pertinent settings.
- Maintain backups of all 15 network device configurations monthly or whenever configuration settings are modified.
