The Role
We’re looking for a mission-driven Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join us as a founding team member. You’ll take full ownership of Lasso’s technical vision, architecture, and execution. From product infrastructure and APIs to scaling backend systems and building a lean mobile frontend, this is a chance to build something people will use every day to connect in the real world.
What You'll Do
- Own and evolve the technical roadmap for Lasso, scaling existing MVP, and new products
- Build and lead the engineering team
- Make architecture decisions across the stack (React Native, Supabase, etc.)
- Work closely with the founding team on product strategy and priorities
- Implement best practices around performance, security, and data privacy
- Oversee DevOps and deployment (CI/CD, version control, etc.)
- Help shape company culture and early team rituals
- Be a face of Lasso to investors, advisors, and early hires
Who You Are
- You’ve led or built products end-to-end (ideally at a startup)
- Fluent in full-stack development (React Native, TypeScript, Postgres, mobile frameworks)
- Strong grasp of database design, API integration, and real-time communication tools
- Experience building consumer apps and iterating quickly on user feedback
- Comfortable with ambiguity, wearing many hats, and taking initiative
- Passionate about building tech that brings people offline
Nice to Haves
- Experience with location-based services
- Prior experience scaling a mobile app
- A strong network of developers or past hires
