Job Description
The Systems Administrator I is responsible for effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure, within established service level agreements. Processes incidents and service requests through established incident and request fulfillment processes. Proactively looks at root cause and trends in incident handling. Provides feedback as part of ongoing process improvement activities. Elevates complex problems to most senior levels in a professional fashion.
Responsibilities
- Incident Management: Acts as a primary point of contact for incidents and service requests as reported from customers, system monitoring and alerts.
- Problem Management: Helps ensure that documented and standardized methods and processes are developed and used for efficient and permanent resolution of problems identified by the Problem Management Process.
- Technical Support: Under minimal supervision, provides first level technical support.
- Department Operations: Assists in operational requirements of IT systems administration.
- Communication & Documentation: As directed, prepares required documentation and communicates in a professional manner.
Qualifications
Minimum Education
- Associates Degree Three years of related experience maybe considered in lieu of degree Required
Minimum Work Experience
- 2 years IT systems administration experience Required
