💻 The Role: Technical Co-founder & CTO
As the Technical Co-founder & CTO, you will be the single point of technical leadership, responsible for all aspects of the company’s technology strategy, development, and execution. You will build and own the entire AI/ML architecture that forms the core of our digital health product, while also driving the AI Product Vision in the interim.
Key Responsibilities
I. Technical Strategy Leadership
Define the Technical Roadmap: Establish the end-to-end technology vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives and product vision.
Architecture & Development: Design, develop, and implement the scalable, secure, and robust cloud infrastructure and AI/ML pipeline for our digital health platform.
Technical Evangelism: Represent the company's technology to potential investors, partners, and customers.
Future Team Building: Recruit, mentor, and lead the future engineering and data science teams once funding is secured.
II. AI/Machine Learning Development
Core AI Development: Design, prototype, and build the core machine learning models and algorithms (e.g., predictive analytics, recommendation engines, natural language processing) central to the Atreya platform.
Data Strategy: Develop and manage the data acquisition, storage, processing, and governance strategy, ensuring compliance with relevant health and privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
Model Deployment: Lead the process of deploying AI models into a production environment (MLOps).
III. Product Vision & AI Product Management
Product Ownership: Act as the initial AI Product Manager, defining the AI-driven features and capabilities, and translating complex technical models into clear, marketable value propositions for users.
Co-founder Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with the CEO/Business Co-founder to translate product requirements and user feedback into technical specifications and deliverables.
MVP Delivery: Be the primary driver for the initial Minimum Viable Product (MVP) development and subsequent iterations, focusing on delivering impactful AI features.
Security & Compliance: Ensure all technology development adheres to the highest standards of security, performance, and regulatory compliance.

🔑 Compensation & Expectations
This is a true Co-founder role with a sweat equity structure.
Equity: Significant founders' equity will be granted in exchange for your intellectual property, technical labor, and commitment to the company.
Salary: Initial salary is contingent upon successful seed funding or equivalent capital injection. Until funding is secured, the role is unpaid, operating entirely on a "sweat equity" basis.
Commitment: Full-time dedication to the venture, including participation in all business strategy, fundraising, and partnership activities. Initially 20 hours/week but must be full-time (60+ hours/week) once funding is secured.

Must-Haves
Startup Mindset: Demonstrated passion for building a company from the ground up, comfortable with ambiguity, limited resources, and the need for scrappiness and rapid iteration.
Expert AI/ML Engineering: 8+ years of experience in AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or Software Engineering with a focus on building and deploying production-grade ML systems.
Product Acumen: Demonstrated ability to bridge technical AI capabilities with tangible user needs and business goals (experience acting as an AI Product Manager is highly valued).
Technical Stack Expertise: Deep expertise in relevant technologies (e.g., Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker/Kubernetes, and familiarity with scalable database technologies).
Digital Health/Data Domain: Prior experience or strong familiarity with digital health, healthcare data, biometrics, or sensitive personal data handling and compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
Nice-to-Haves
* Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field.
* Proven experience as a technical leader or founder in a prior successful venture.
* Experience with fundraising processes and communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences (investors, business partners).
