S&K Building Services is expanding our team to include a
Systems Administrator to play a critical role in maintaining, securing, and improving S&K's internal IT systems and infrastructure. This is not just an IT support role-it's about ensuring stability, security, scalability, and reliability across our technology environment.
You'll work closely with internal teams and third-party vendors, owning day-to-day system administration while driving long-term improvements. If you're hands-on, detail-oriented, and thrive in a growing, multi-location business, this role is for you.

What You'll Do
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and core business applications
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls with strong security practices
- Apply OS, application, and security patches regularly to reduce vulnerabilities
- Own backup, disaster recovery, and data integrity processes
- Monitor system performance and security alerts, resolving issues proactively
- Troubleshoot complex system, application, network, and hardware issues
- Partner with third-party IT vendors for support and infrastructure changes
- Support upgrades, deployments, and standardization initiatives
- Document system configurations, SOPs, and recovery procedures
- Automate routine tasks using scripting tools like PowerShell
- Enforce security best practices across all systems
Who You Are
- Several years of hands-on experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of Windows environments (Linux experience a plus)
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and security best practices
- Skilled in user access management, backups, patching, and monitoring tools
- Methodical troubleshooting skills for complex issues
- Experience working with third-party IT vendors or MSPs
- Strong documentation habits and clear communication skills
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with multi-location organizations
- Familiarity with cloud services, virtualization, or hybrid environments
- Scripting/automation experience (PowerShell or similar)
- Background in services, field operations, or PE-backed environments
