POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Systems Administrator supports the Technology Infrastructure Department by providing superior technical support, administration, and systems strategy, primarily focusing on multi-user server systems, cybersecurity, and network infrastructure ensuring maximum uptime and reliability.
Essential Functions
- Administer configuration and maintenance of entire Performing Arts Center Authority (PACA) network infrastructure, both on-premises and cloud, including remote connectivity, wired network and Wi-Fi for multiple sites.
- Administer all cloud infrastructure including email, spam, networking, collaboration and telephony systems.
- Analyze and monitor network and server performance to ensure systems remain current and function efficiently and effectively.
- Administer and support multi-user systems at multiple sites.
- Maintain network integrity by performing preventive, routine and emergency network and server maintenance.
- Monitor network security, hardware and software health, identifying issues and providing solutions that maximize uptime & minimize security threats.
- Oversee troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, and other disaster recovery methodologies for continued progress in IT Disaster Preparedness Plan to ensure business continuity.
- Ensure PACA Network and multi-user systems are fortified against cybersecurity threats, including firewall devices, addressing vulnerabilities on multi-user systems, and implementing security policies for systems and end users.
- Work with Director in designing organization-wide technology solutions and actively managing projects that affect essential business processes.
- Act as escalation point for Technology Support Technician Team and rest of Systems Administration Team.
- Provide network and systems support for cross departmental projects as assigned.
- When assigned, fulfill the role of IT representative during project meetings.
- In the absence of Director, fulfill role as needed, including moving projects forward and managing contractors doing project work.
- Work with Director to develop skills in IT business processes including budgeting, planning, prioritizing and long-term technology roadmaps.
- Implement and create documentation for policies, including data security policies, multi-user systems, and processes as directed.
- Train and mentor Jr System Administrators/System Administrators as assigned.
- Support organizational initiatives that involve network and systems infrastructure. Define requirements and timeline and partner with Director and other departments to successfully implement solutions.
- Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

- Expertise in Modern Device Management (Intune).
- Expertise in all aspects of networking (LAN/WAN, Wireless, Routing, Firewalls, DNS, DHCP).
- Expertise in Unified Communications (Teams, Zoom, PBX).
- Expertise in virtual infrastructure (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Expertise in Hybrid Cloud environments (Azure/AWS).
- Expertise in Next Generation Firewall Appliances (Watchguard).
- Expertise in network switching and wireless (Meraki).
- Expertise in network monitoring and vulnerability remediation.
- Expertise in Disaster Recovery Software (Veeam).
- Expertise in Identity and Access Management and Data Governance.
- Skilled in PowerShell scripting and automation best practices.
- Knowledge of Project Management, Budgeting and Prioritizing needs for an organization.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Desired Education And Experience
- BA/BS degree or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
- 5+ years administering Microsoft Windows environment
- 3-5 years supporting cloud or hybrid cloud environments including Microsoft 365
- 5+ years administering a multi-site, networked environment
