The Head of Marketplace (Amazon) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Amazon's global operations, strategic planning, and overall business performance. Building a deep understanding of Amazon’s business model and organization, drive innovation while maintaining operational excellence, and ensuring the company's continued growth and leadership in the e-commerce and technology sectors. This position will articulate the key needs and opportunities of Amazon back to the broader organization, as well as translate the brand and product strategies into winning Amazon plans.

What you will be doing:

As the Amazon subject matter expert, provide strategic direction and leadership to ensure the continued growth and success of Amazon.
Build and lead high-performing teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence, while implementing KPIs and overseeing team performance via designated Amazon Team leads.
Serve as a key contact for all Amazon related activity and lead daily operations of the Amazon business to maintain profitability, sales growth and customer satisfaction.
Develop and maintain product pages and sales forecast, oversee customer service interactions, and monitor seller ratings to ensure optimal performance.
Articulate the key needs of Amazon back to the broader business unit and organization
Plan, and manage the execution of Amazon sponsored products campaigns and Amazon promotions
Identify promotional opportunities and develop promotional calendars
Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and threats, adjusting strategies accordingly.
Partner cross-functionally with Inventory Management, Logistics, and Advertising teams to ensure optimal inventory flow and advertising strategies

Who you are:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, Technology or related field
Six plus years of progressive experience successfully managing and scaling a global Amazon marketplace business required
Demonstrated experience managing scaling department with more than 6 direct reports
Demonstrated track record of increasing e-Commerce revenues via Amazon in an Omni- channel business model
Strong website and consumer analytic skills, including the ability to link site design and features to strategic objectives and the ability to use the data and metrics to back up assumptions and recommendations.
Strong communications skills, with the ability to communicate across the entire organization
Curious and entrepreneurial leader that stays abreast of industry trends, able to set a vision, orchestrate a process to execute on that plan
Creative, with an eye to develop new and innovative solutions
Strong leader and team player who can inspire others and work successfully across multiple business functions.

The pay range for this position in California is $120,000 - 140,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position offers a full range of benefits. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed. Base pay information is based on market location.
