Position Summary:
Life Cycle Engineering is looking for a Risk Management Analyst to manage the application of Navy/DoD project principles in support of design, construction, testing, evaluation, and certification.
Clearance Required:
Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Identify program threats, watch items, risks, issues, opportunities, and constraints focusing on cost, schedule, and technical performance, across Land Based Engineering Testing Site in support of the design, construction, tests, evaluation, and certification to access Risk.
- Determine contingency plans and initiate appropriate planning, including identifying a risk owner and stakeholders responsible for the action
- Assess mitigation plans, corrective action plans, and capture plans to ensure progress, resolution, and closure
- Communicate with stakeholders the process for uncovering, identifying, determining the scope, analyzing, mitigating, correcting, capturing, monitoring, and managing program uncertainties with appropriate rigor
- Apply basic principles, theories, and concepts and limited industry knowledge
- Develop Risk Management reports and Risk Management Briefs
- Coordinate Risk Management Review Boards
- Cost Estimation and analyzing uncertainty
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technical, Financial or related
- 2+years of experience with risk management and project support experience in a technical environment
- Monte Carlo simulations or equivalent simulator experience
- Experience with logging and maintaining risks and issues into a Risk Register
- Experience with generating Risk Report briefings to clients
- Knowledge of Risk Management process, including identification, assessment, mitigation planning, and management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office specifically Power Point for presentation purposes
Preferred Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Knowledge of US Navy terminology/processes (or ability to learn them quickly) preferred
- Experience with executing Navy/DoD Risk Management practices preferred
- PMP or CAPM certification preferred
Physical Demands and Expectations:
- Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and standing; occasional prolonged sitting
- Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance
- Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment
