Experience:
Started as a contractor position working at Level3/CenturyLink/Lumen as a Network Engineer to configure and validate a network connection design for a WAN link using different types of protocols, to various customers across the globe.
Got a role for a full-time position as an Information Security Technician II from July 2018 having the similar job role but more focused on Security portion of the design that involves ANS cloud firewalls; using Fortigate firewalls, and applying security policies and UTM features as per customer requirement. Additionally, connecting remote secure access tunnels (SARLs) using IPsec routing protocol with primary or backup service level for high availability.

Based on my knowledge and professional experience, I was selected by a distributor company, to provide technical solutions and designing data centers, covering all aspects that include networking (Cisco), servers (Cisco UCS), storage (NetApp), virtualization (Citrix) and finally, backup/archiving (CommVault).
In addition, I supervised a team of presales engineers to distribute tasks between the team, which includes consultancy, design, technical trainings, presentation of the proposed design and POC's to existing/prospective partners and customers on the Logicom DC-related technologies and brands.

My main responsibilities is to provide and monitor network performance, security, stability, and assistance, using different technologies.
• Maintain/monitor connectivity for multiple links and different protocols (IPVPN, Lease Lines, Wi-Max and MPLS).
• Had a solid understanding of security technologies including ACL, NAT, IDS, filtering, DMZ.
• Configure/maintain Cisco devices (routers, switches, wireless controllers, access points and ASA firewalls). Create/assign/maintain new subnets/VLANs and WLANS based to differentiate areas, departments and companies.
• Create/maintain access lists for increased internal security.
• Enhance network security using various firewall devices by monitoring incoming/outgoing traffic through different types of firewall devices for increased security eg. Cisco ASA, Sonicwall and Fortigate.
• Filter spam/junk emails threats through IronPort. Provide access to local network through VPN for selected clients using Cisco VPN client, Sonicwall VPN client L2TP IPSec.
• Maintain/assist/configure company communication system (Avaya PABX definity system).
• Ensure UPS efficiency for increasing hardware and confirm reliability.
• Broadcast/maintain TV satellite stream through our local network using Exterity IPTV system and provide access for selected users.
