The mission of Braven is to empower promising underrepresented college undergraduates with the skills and experiences to land strong first jobs.
Collaborated with Braven to analyze data of graduates to construct machine learning algorithms to predict job outcome.
Constructed various classification models such as SVM, Logistic Regression, Random Forest, and XGBoost.
Implemented KNN to resolve the issue of missing data allowing for models, on average to increase in 20% accuracy.
Concluded the project objective with a final model that classified undergrad job outcome with a final accuracy of 70%.
Delivered performance metrics, key risks, and successes to be implemented in the following academic semester.

About
Hi I'm Andrew. I am currently studying for my Master of Science In Business Analytics, at the University of Illinois at Chicago. There over the last year I have learned a numerous of technical skills such as R Python, PySpark, Tableau, SQL, and Microsoft Excel. I have use these skills to conduct machine learning algorithms for predictive modeling and analysis.
Most recently I worked with Braven an NGO during the spring 2021 semester. Braven's missions is to help close the gap between first-generation college students, students from low-income backgrounds, and students of color to their quality job. There I created a model that would help predict whether a student would receive a quality job after graduation and what are the most relevant factors.
I will be graduated in December of 2021 and I am looking for my first data science entry level position. Thanks for reading, feel to reach out with any questions or opportunities.
