In this role I was responsible for installing and troubleshooting Windows, Linux (Redhat, Ubuntu, Centos7) and Mac operating systems. I also security certified these systems per university standards. I performed monthly security scans of systems which involved the use of python scripts and bash scripts. If a problem was detected during these scans, it was my role to resolve the issue. I also used third party software, which included Symantec Endpoint Protection, Nessus tenable security software and Splunk. This position also emphasized customer relations in a university research setting where I responded to end-user requests.
