About
With over 15 years of experience in cybersecurity of software systems, I am passionate about building security into products and organizations. I currently lead a team at Abbott that is responsible for the cybersecurity of all Cardiac Rhythm Management products, their development, and manufacturing environments.
I have authored a book on medical device cybersecurity, published by Elsevier, and have 30 peer-reviewed publications on software safety and security. I have also been inducted into Abbott's Volwiler Society, as a Senior Associate Research Fellow, for my contributions to their cybersecurity product development practices. I strive to advance the state of the art and the practice of cybersecurity in the medical device industry, and to protect the safety and privacy of patients and users.
