Systems Administrator/Integrator/DBA for SCADA Information Systems Operations. Handled all IT responsibilities for control systems including network, communications , database, Server and client hardware, user management and alarm management. Optimized operating system performance, provided solutions to software and hardware problems resulting in improved response times and increased reliability of control systems.
• Responsible for 600 client workstations and over 300 mission critical Windows 2003 Enterprise servers worldwide. This included Web, Database and SCADA application servers.
• Provided on site, remote on call support on a 24x7 basis for control systems hardware, software, functionality of control systems, HMI and IT for 8 manufacturing facilities.
• Partnered with Operations Technicians with Instrumentation maintenance and calibrations including temperature, pressure and temperature.
• Created Web site for 24x7 on call personnel, which allowed our global team to connect to any server we supported via ILO. The Web site contained detailed information about each server.
• Used Bigfix to patch/upgrade server and workstation operating systems and applications. Using Bigfix allowed us to save approximately 500 man hours each month by automating patch installs.
• Created Web/Database application to gather critical data from the SCADA systems, which was available to my team from their workstation and Web browser.
• Created VBScripts to gather information and ping all our clients, which sent E-mail to inform our team of system issues.
• Created an application to add/remove/update and delete users from our SCADA application upon changes to Windows 2003 Active Directory.
• Migrated MS SQL 2000 databases to MS SQL 2005.
