About
Experienced cyber-security professional with a broad background in security services including penetration testing, software certification and accreditation, security training, enterprise security management, malware development/reverse engineering, cyber-forensics, secure software development and applied cryptology.
My macro areas of interest are currently offensive cyber-operations, the effects of abstraction and opacity on security modeling and the international legal regulation of cyber-security.
I consider myself a risk manager currently working in the field of cyber security. I believe that risk analysis is a necessary counterbalance to any form of human activity and I have an interest in all forms of security including those I may never practice. My greatest skill is the ability to gather and integrate sparse and diverse information and formulate into patterns and relationships. Thus I consider myself best suited to macro and strategic problems. In the end my ideal job would be to operate on this level and improve the alignment of human needs and technological means in regards to security.
Specialties: Statistical/behavioral intrusion detection systems, network sensors, industrial control systems, virtualization and cloud security.
