About
I got interested on cybersecurity by listening to cybersecurity podcasts. I love learning about current threats and trends, and how they are dealt with.
The more I listened, the more intrigued I became. I did research, and continued to listen, and found out that getting into the field is more realistic than I thought.
I started school in March of 2022. I did a program called Quickstart, via The University of Texas at Arlington. Here I learned everything from networking and OS fundamentals, to blue team assessments and procedures.
I also learned and performend Red Team engagements, which is my favorite, as well as incident response, which I also enjoy.
I made an account on Hack The Box, and started doing every box I could, including all the Starting Point boxes.
I have an at home virtual lab, that I use for all my projects, to help build my skills. I made videos of the presentaions, they are on my Linkedin and personal website.
I recently got my CompTIA Security+ certification, and I am now confident in my abilities, and I am looking for my first job in cybersecurity.
