Information Security and IT Strategy Consultant
Directed all technology service delivery functions for St. Cloud, MN and Bloomington, MN offices for a privately-held professional services firm providing business consulting, financial services and technology consulting for small and mid-sized organizations.
Managed a staff of up to 15 employees and accountable for operational budget. As member of 23-partner group, set vision and direction for enterprise including business strategy development, SWOT analysis, and Go-to-Market strategy.
• Delivered year over year growth in services billings of 16% while holding cost of services labor to 2% annual growth in 2011.
• Integrated operational teams and processes following merger of Techfluent business with KDV, minimizing impact to clients during the transition.
• Managed move of Techfluent business during consolidation of three separate offices to one location in Bloomington, improving workflow and consistency for staff, while enabling uninterrupted employee productivity during the move.
• Led integration of billing processes and HR benefits / compensation as well as data consolidation across PSA (Professional Services Automation) platform following merger, enabling combined team to operate with common processes.
• Collaborated with firm’s Director of Operations to develop IT strategy, lifecycle management, support processes and procedures, and IT budget, creating a stable environment and a platform for future IT initiatives.
• Managed relationship with firm’s largest Technology account ($190K in services and $100K in product annually); worked with client leaders to develop IT strategy and create on-site IT Department.

Director of Technology Operations
Started enterprise with two partners and grew business to a peak revenue of $3.15 million. Provided direct and indirect supervision for up to 14 employees serving 75 metro clients.
Techfluent was a provider of IT services to small and mid-sized businesses including strategic IT planning, systems integration, infrastructure implementation, and technical support. Merged with KDV in 2009 and became an equity partner.
• Actively participated in all strategic decisions including the selection of target market focus, service offerings, and employee mix, leading to consistent and steady annual revenue growth.
• Directed IT service delivery including Helpdesk management (remote and on-site), supervision of Tier 1 / Tier 2 / Tier 3 field engineers, project planning / management, routine customer visits, and adhoc support.
• Interviewed and hired highly skilled technical employees. Provided development opportunities and retained employee group with minimal turnover based on industry standards.
• Managed Human Resources function. Developed Employee Handbook and selected and administered employee benefits. Administered Worker’s Compensation, COBRA, new hire process, new hire orientation, and performance review process.
• Established and managed accounting processes including monthly invoicing, accounts payable, sales / use tax reporting, corporate taxes, and payroll processing.
• Researched and acquired outside financing for business development. Managed banking relationships.
• Selected as project manager for implementation of PSA software. Developed and documented support processes; designed templates; and served as SME for ongoing software administration.

Performed work as an independent consultant on long-term client engagements. Engagements included :
• Performed infrastructure and end-user support for 20,000 users on 29 Lotus Domino 4.6 servers for a manufacturing company. Supported 2,500 remote users and associated server hardware, such as modem racks and Digi RAS products. Coordinated software testing and upgrade plans with other operational teams.
• Provided operational support for 37 Lotus Domino 4.5 servers for an international finance company. Built Compaq Proliant servers, including all hardware and software. Collaborated on capacity planning and performance tuning of servers. Created new procedures and documentation for daily administrative tasks.

Lotus Notes Engineer and Business Solutions Analyst for a regional IT consulting firm. Client projects included :
• Performed user migrations from cc : Mail / Lotus Organizer 2.1 servers to Lotus Notes 4.5 / Windows NT servers for an international food company. Supervised Lotus Organizer 97 GS pilot group for potential integration with Lotus Notes calendar and scheduling environment.
• Designed and implemented a Windows NT network with Lotus Domino mail servers for a Minneapolis consulting firm. Provided all administrative functions such as managing security, adding and deleting users, and monitoring server activity. Rolled out and supported Windows 95 desktops and applications including MS Office, Lotus Notes, and Netscape.
