About
Collin Chung is a highly accomplished C-level executive, business leader, and advisor with over a decade of experience in highly regulated industries including fintech, healthcare, chemicals, digital marketing, legal, human resources, risk management, academia, and professional services. As an expert in cybersecurity, privacy, and digital transformation, Collin excels at building programs and assembling teams which comprehensively address complex problems while effectively identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risk.
Collin is the CEO and Founder of Omni Group Consulting, LLC (OGC), a cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance firm established in 2018. As CEO, Collin is responsible for all sales, finance, and operational activities as well as a portfolio of engagements where he serves as a cybersecurity and digital transformation advisor to C-suite and board level executives. Collin also serves as a fractional Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and leverages the OGC team to design, implement, and maintain Information Security and Privacy departments within customer organizations. Since the company was founded in 2018, it has been solicited for acquisition on two separate occasions as a result of its rapid growth, low overhead, and strategic partnerships.
Prior to his entrepreneurial career, Collin’s foundation was rooted in the professional services industry at firms such as Protiviti, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Ernst & Young where he gained a reputation for pioneering cybersecurity assurance practices focused on the healthcare industry. Collin’s experience and expertise extends beyond the professional services industry into the world of academia. Collin developed the Cybersecurity Professional Education curriculum for Trilogy Education Services which became the gold-standard deployed at several universities including the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) where he served as the program’s inaugural Lead Instructor. Collin currently teaches cybersecurity at the University of Central Florida as an Adjunct Professor and actively seeks to provide opportunities for employment within OGC for graduating students.
Outside of his professional and academic activities, Collin volunteers at the Private Directors Association (PDA); a network of professionals interested in board service and privately held organizations collaboratively advocating for excellence in the boardroom. Collin serves as the Co-president of the Atlanta chapter and the Co-chair of the National Cybersecurity Committee championing cybersecurity in the boardroom.
