* Inventor of the revolutionary Ant-Based Cyber Defense (Digital Ants) technology, recipient of Excellence in Technology Transfer Award in 2018 from the Federal Laboratory Consortium, named one of 10 world-changing technologies by Scientific American in 2010, and 2016 finalist for an R&D 100 Award.
* Creator of the Host-Network (Hone) open-source cyber sensor (https : //github.com/HoneProject/) later fielded at PNNL.
* Inventor of the Cyber Log Embeddings (CLEM) NLP tool that produces actionable insights from raw cyber logs, used in seven ML-based cyber efforts so far.
* Lead architect of automatic model retraining (AMR) for one of PNNL’s largest ML programs. AMR is considered the “crown jewel” and key differentiator of our product.
* Founding member and technical advisor of PNNL’s Data Stewardship Board, overseeing use of operational data in research projects.
* Co-inventor of Hardware-Only Controller (HAWC) suite of technologies that protect critical infrastructure from online cyber threats.
* Key leader in customization of the Need-Approach-Benefits-Competition (NABC) grant writing framework for R&D, which revitalized innovation at PNNL and has been adopted as an enterprise best practice.
* Key contributor to PNNL’s Quickstarter innovation program, which crowd-sources selection of hundreds of seedling research efforts each year.
* Established research agendas for lab- and directorate-level initiatives including the Information and Infrastructure Integrity Initiative and the Ubiquitous Computing Directorate objective.

About
As a Senior Research Scientist in cyber security and data science, I have gained a broad, cross-disciplinary perspective with serial specializations in bio-inspired cybersecurity, privacy technologies, decentralized cyber systems, machine/deep learning, data analysis, and more. Innovative and forward-thinking, I leverage a unique talent for applying data science to the cybersecurity domain (and vice versa) to solve various types of complex problems.
One organization I’ve made a positive and long-standing impact at is Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
A product inventor and key influencer, I have served as Principal Investigator and Project Lead on a wide range of complex R&D projects.
