Information Security Officer
Assigned as a senior program manager for the Department’s Fish and Wildlife Information Service and Statewide Permits Sections. Duties include the direct oversight of a multidisciplinary team of biologists, GIS, database, application programmers, and professional permit staff that provide analytic data analysis and review used to safeguard and manage Virginia’s wildlife resources and this unit provides crime analysis services for law enforcement. Duties also include daily oversight of several mufti-faceted information technology processes that specialize in collection, retention and dissemination of information to internal and external clients statewide and nationally. Specifically, my role is to insure that information projects are managed concisely and that deliverables are accurate and provided by established deadlines. Additionally, duties include an oversight and leadership role regarding the Agency’s Threatened & Endangered Species, Scientific Collection, and Salvage Permit processes. Working with a team of Agency biologists, this group insures that appropriate scientific research is conducted in the Commonwealth that is a benefit to the management of wildlife resources. Currently, I manage a staff of twelve full and part time employees. Additionally, I hold professional licensure as a Project Management Professional with Project Management International.

Fish & Wildlife Information Service/Permits Manager
Assigned as a senior project manager for a private research firm that specialized in satisfaction and market analysis for several fortune 100 clients nationwide. Duties included daily oversight of a multi-faceted information technology company that specialized in data collection and dissemination for internal and external clients. Specifically, my role was to insure that information projects were managed concisely and that deliverables were provided on time during all phases of survey creation, data collection, analysis, data warehousing and dissemination to clients. Clients served by this company included healthcare (patient satisfaction surveys), banking (quality service and customer relations service), transportation, and several large retail outlets in the greater Richmond area (direct market customized printing). Additionally, I coordinated with the company’s information technology department to insure all technology related projects and products were delivered as specified to our clients. Additional duties included working with a senior statistician to conduct complex data analysis and reporting to clients in a variety of formats. During my tenure I managed a team of two project coordinators and had indirect control over eight additional programmers staff. Additionally, I served as the interim Chief Technical Officer and Human Resource Officer. Collateral duties include billing and invoicing monthly statements to clients.

Senior Project Manager
This position was assigned to perform multiple administrative and management tasks for several critical educational programs administered by the College. Duties included implementation and daily oversight of a multi-faceted synchronous/asynchronous distance education program that utilized a combination of live video (H.323 & previously H.321 protocols) and computer mediated systems (BlackBoard) to deliver course content in synchronous/asynchronous formats. Since arriving, distance-learning infrastructure has been improved to H. 323 standards and students’ utilizing the program have increased by approximately 75 percent. While at LFCC, I oversaw a staff of four full/part time employees and have had partial administrative authority over approximately ninety adjunct instructors working in the distance/dual enrollment programs. Additional teaching responsibilities included the provision of Administration of Justice courses as needed during evening hours and as an independent study option. Over the past several years I prepped the following courses : ADJ-107 Survey of Criminology, ADJ- 211 & 212 Criminal Law, Evidence & Procedure, ADJ-236 & 237 Criminal Investigation, ADJ - 133 Ethics for CJ Professionals, and ADJ - 105, Juvenile Justice Systems.
