• Redesigned the site IAVA Compliance and Tracking program, which included rebuilding and virtualizing the testing and scanning infrastructure which led to an 95% reduction overall in the monthly site assessment times
• Worked with vendors to bring medical systems into compliance with DISA and DoD regulations utilizing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). These tasks included assessing, mitigating, and validating security vulnerabilities to a wide variety of systems and network appliances
• Took over and brought the management of our HBSS system onsite, thereby reducing our dependence on contracted outside agencies for monitoring and management of our sites security
• Lead the engineering efforts for processing systems through the DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) for Fort Belvoir Community Hospital
• Developed and implemented the COTS (Consumer off the Shelf software) testing and accreditation program at FBCH. Our team built the testing infrastructure, and documented the SOP for the site.
• Designed, tested, and implemented the transition from Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) to McAfee antivirus protection for the FBCH servers along with integrating the reporting functionality into our new HBSS systems
